Can I view works at the studio?
Yes. Studio visits are possible by prior arrangement and provide an opportunity to view selected available and current works.
Can I purchase or reserve a Quince Portrait?
Yes. Information about available works and prices is provided on request. The status of individual works is also shown on the relevant work pages.
Do you accept portrait commissions?
Yes. I consider a commissioned portrait to be an independent work of art rather than a simple translation of a photograph. The process begins with conversations, my own photographs and the development of a pictorial idea.
Are commissioned animal portraits possible?
Yes. Animal portrait commissions can also be discussed individually.
How are the Quince Portraits made?
The Quince Portraits are predominantly painted on carefully prepared panels. The images are built up through numerous opaque and transparent layers, with egg tempera playing a central role.
Are editions available?
Selected works are offered as limited fine-art editions. Availability and further information can be found in the Editions section.
