Portrait of Natalie shows a seated woman against a deep black, almost spaceless background. Her body turns slightly to the side while her calm gaze meets the viewer directly.
Soft light models the face, neck and hands without dramatisation. The reduced composition moves beyond outward likeness to make the sitter’s individual presence and dignity visible.
Oil and egg tempera on canvas, 160 × 120 cm, 2023. Commission.
