Eine leuchtend gelbe Quitte zwischen frischem und vertrocknetem Blattwerk – ein Bild über Reife, Veränderung und Vergänglichkeit.
In Quitte MUS-02, growth and decay meet directly. A brilliant yellow quince carries a strong green leaf marked by dark spots, beside an almost translucent dried leaf.
The soft, asymmetrical fruit moves from luminous gold to earthy brown. Its precisely rendered body stands before a partly open, painterly ground, bringing illusion and visible surface together.
Painted in 2025 in egg tempera on a traditional chalk ground over a wooden panel. The work is currently on loan to the Paul-Löbe-Haus in Berlin.
