In The Pug, an enigmatic encounter condenses into an almost theatrical scene. The dog looks straight out of the picture, calm and unwavering, while two human figures behind it appear caught by something unseen.
The familiar becomes strange: the pug’s stoic presence holds together a scene poised between comedy and unease. As part of the Darksider group, the work explores the border between reality, dream and hidden fears.
