Justicia turns the classical image of Justice into a picture of social imbalance. Instead of standing upright with balanced scales, the figure lies exhausted on a leather sofa, holding money while the scales tilt.

The work does not claim that judicial decisions are simply for sale. It asks how equal a legal system can be when the costs of proceedings, representation and prolonged disputes give financially powerful parties greater means to assert their interests.

The German flag locates this critique in a national context, while the intense red room heightens its urgency.
